Hi, welcome to my newest blog (built on GVO Titanium Hosting). I’ll comment more about GVO later as I’m SO impressed with what they have put into their hosting package. Anyway, I’m Roy as you might have guessed by now.
Massachusetts is my home state and I lived there for most of my life. I’ve spent the past year and a half visiting Texas for a year and now Florida for an as yet undetermined length of time. Where I spend most of my free time, though is my virtual vacation home which is everywhere in the world. The Internet!
My relationship with the internet has been kind of one-way. I’ve used it to research products, keep in touch with people with email and find information about any number of things. Amazing! Now it’s time to get more interactive and pass on what I’ve learned.
I never thought twenty five years ago when I got my first computer that I’d be able to do the things we can do today with computers. What a fantastic journey it’s been! Ebay, Youtube, Myspace, Facebook and hundreds of other social networking sites have changed the way people are able to communicate all over the world. You now have the ability if you so choose to meet with people anywhere in the world by means of a virtual video conference room. You can make your own videos and post them on video hosting sites like Google Video and Youtube and many more. If you want to send out an announcement to a list of contacts by email you can do it with the click of a button using an auto-responder. Want your own website? Start a blog! If I can do it anyone can. It’s push-button easy.
That’s what I’ll be blogging about. How to use the internet to further explore your passion or cause, whatever it may be. Also what tools are available to make it easier (yes it can and will get easier). So I’ll see you on the inside to share what I’ll be learning.

Hi Roy,
Great post! Your internet experience is very similar to mine.
I want to thank you for visiting my site and making that very kind comment. You made my day.
I am finding video blogging very daunting so it was good to have some positive feedback.
I wish you the very best in your endeavors and being part of GVO is a great start. It certainly restored my confidence in my ability to have an online business I could be proud of. Oh – I fixed the link to the Branding yourself online on my site – it works now and thanks for bringing it to my attention. Somehow it disappeared when I changed themes.
Thanks again,
Phoebe
